Road Trip A lot of things can go wrong on the road and sometimes I can’t help but feel we are underprepared. From candy and games for those long drives through the dessert to a good mix tape to set the tone of the trip, some things are essential on the road. I wanted to make a list of things we have to have and hopefully you could help us out and let us know if we are forgetting anything.
Let us know if we need something else!

Mike I know there might be a few "better" movies out there but for some reason I connected with these one's the most. You may also be wondering why 7? Well, why not 8? or why not 6? Geez, I just happen to love 7 road trip movies okay, get over it.
7. Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas
I really really really want to pick up Spiderman as a hitchhiker along our way to Orange Florida. If you want a ride and fit this following profile, shoot me an e-mail.
6. Y Tu Mama Tambien
I saw this movie when I was really young. I think you can figure out why I like it so much, even though it got kinda awk at the end. Who's a dirty little movie?! Yes that's right! You are! Thinking about it, it worries me that we are also 2 guys and a girl on this road trip. Hmmmmm...
5. The Muppet Movie

Kermit and Fuzzy the Bear go on a cross country road trip to Hollywood to find fame and friends along the way. I really don't think we are going to have as many A-List celebrity cameos in this movie, but what if I told you at one point we WILL be wearing muppet costumes??? Tee Hee.
4. Dumb and Dumber
Don't ask me why but the most memorable scene in this movie to me is when this guy on the left gets stuck to the pole. Thank God we are not going to any place near as cold. DUMBCITY!
3. Little Miss Sunshine
Every big road trip has it's quest, and this movie's ending beauty pageant dance takes the cake for me. Along the way the filmmakers manage to kill off an important character and still keep an upbeat tone throughout the movie. We can only wish to be so lucky. I've seen this movie multiple times and the story still gets me. There's something about this family that is so wrong, yet still so right.
2. Pee-Wee's Big Adventure
Directed by Tim Burton, this scence says it all. Don't ask me why it's in a weird language. Don't question it, just enjoy.
1. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit of Glorious Natin of Kazakhstan
How can you not love a Kazakhstany reporter crossing the country to find the love of his life Pam Anderson? It really reminds me of a unique and cute Guatemalan boy going on a quest to meet Olivia Munn. I don't think our trip will have as much male nudity and strippers, but really, what do I know? I've said that before on a random Saturday night and been proven wrong.
I really can't wait to go on this road trip. I know it will be the best experience of my life, and I hope you come along for the ride.

Q: Hi Mike, first question, How did you come up with the idea for “From Orange to Orange”?
I’ve always wanted to go to New Orleans, it’s been a dream of mine for some time and one day I randomly mentioned it to Matt. He suggested we go down there for spring break and as we Google mapped the time it would take we noticed it was only an extra 9 hours to Florida. We said, “What the heck, lets just drive there too.” Then we told our friend Warren who came up with the name “From Orange to Orange.”
As soon as I heard the name it was as if a bottle rocket went off in my head. One thing led to another and here I am. It might sound cheesy but its like the show kinda found us, you know?
Q: So, what are you most looking forward to on your trip?
Probably getting to know what America really feels like. I was born and raised in Guatemala for 18 years. I mean I only came to California 2 years ago for college. I’ve never really been to a lot of the states we want to go to and I’ve heard people are way different in middle America. Funny story, when I say I’m from Central America people always ask me “so like from around Texas?” I don’t blame them I’m pretty Americanized thanks to television, and most people don’t even know where Guatemala is.
Q: How was it growing up in Guatemala?
It was great actually. I love my life in the old Guat, but to be honest I always felt like a little fish in a big pond. Wait a sec- well… you know what I mean. [laughs] It wasn’t until I got here that I realize what a freaking huge pond America was. I’m glad I grew up in Guatemala, it gave me a perspective of the world that most people here don’t have. And you know that thing they say about girls liking guys with accents? Well….yeah…I don’t think its true actually…
Q: Speaking of girls, I hear you went on a crazy quest to meet somebody?
Yes, Olivia Munn. She hosts my favorite show on TV, “Attack of the Show”. I never really expected to meet her, or never actually tried you know. I’m part of this college talk show and everyone liked the idea of me trying to meet her in a series of bits for the show. So I made a few webisodes and then she actually came down for the season finale and I got to meet her. She was so sweet, outrageous, and funny. Really everything I thought she would be. With Olivia I feel like she doesn’t hold back and she is exactly who she is on TV. She’s not afraid to be herself and it’s something I admire a lot. I hate when people think I went on a quest to date her. I’m not an idiot; I know Olivia could do way better, and I don’t need a restraining order on my record. But she will forever be the person that sparked my interest in a career in television. She rocks.

Q: Final question, are you living the American Dream?
I’m sure as hell trying to. Until you see me on TV alongside Olivia Munn hosting a show from New Orleans I don’t think I will be. But Orange to Orange is close enough. [smiles]
